A lot of rides were closed and the park could have used a little sprucing up. Chewed gum everywhere!
Great park so much to offer. Wish they would but more benches around the park though for more sitting while kids ride all the rides. Excited for the new coaster in 2018
Even though there were a few eye sores I did like how there were a lot of bathrooms and water fountains around the park. The staff seemed very happy, attentive and well trained.
5 really great coasters. Also a ton of other great thrill rides. Prices for food and drink are a bit steep for me, but for most people probably fine. We went near the end of the season and from 12-5 got to hit each coaster once (minus the old wooden one) with the superman first and last. Pretty short lines this time of year. Overall 4/5 :)
They have not added new roller coasters in years. So if you have never been here it will be awesome for you. For me it's getting old. Just got finished using a season pass which is a great value. Get the season pass early it gives additional benefits then which makes no sense. You would think as the season goes on they would add more perks to the pass sense you don't have as many days to use it. The benefits they don't mention is to add free parking on which costs 20 bucks and if you want to do some things that cost to much but add to the thrills add the $50 thrill pack that gets you free on all the extra pay rides. So $90 for the pass and $20 for the parking and 2 trips even would save you. I went 9 times on mine and saved a bunch. You can also get discounts on food.
I enjoyed my time here with my family but I have been to better amusement parts.
The rides are great for kids and adults. If your kids are over 48" s tall they will be able to ride nearly every ride. There are quite a good number of fun rides if they are shorter, they may need to be accompanied by an adult though for the moderate sized rides. One thing I have always enjoyed is BBQ in the surrounding areas of the parking lot. It can make a full day fun as you can break up the day. I would highly recommend Darien Lake as a fun family destination.
